I really am happy with this shot, using the fixed lense, and autofocus mode 2 on the Fuji - the sport subject tracking mode, with 5FPS continuous shooting…the snow flying, the crispness, the color!

Maybe a little too much boost on the color contrast????

Chris Olsson, followed by Rick, styling turns during a recent snowstorm at Vail. It was supposed to be a slow day for us so I decided to try my first skiing shots with the Fuji. Very challenging to get the figures lifted without over exposing the snow or sky. I ended up using a drawn and parametric mask around the foreground figure to lift just the skiier’s tones and not the overall image or snow surrounding him. The orange is a bit over the top but heck, its better than the original which I will post as well

A camp robber at the top of Chair 4 in early December, very tight crop, from max zoom unfortunately. Still, pretty crisp, though the blue sky needed a lot of luminance and color noise suppression….
