Battle of Grape Island - Getting ready
The colonial side of a re-enactment of the Battle of Grape Island. Held in Hingham Ma, my father has been an active proponent of memorializing this small battle which occurred right at the outset of the Revolutionary War (as it is called in modern America, the British and Native American’s call it differently). It was a blazing hot day despite being near Hingham Harbor. This photo was not posed and the blazing smile of the “soldier” at ease makes this a good shot in my opinion
