Family ensemble of my mom’s family, my brothers and one of my sisters, an uncle and his daughter and husband. Oh yeah, and Dominique and me.

My sister and her son, Rory. I thought the composition was good and yes, I did play with the skin and the light quite a bit. Too moody? I kind of like it.

My nephew. A bit of enhancement to pull the child forward and push the background further back.

My brother Richard discussing something animated with mother’s brother, Peter. Did I go too far with the enhancements? It was a bright sunny day, and me as usual without a polarizing or other filter…..lots of background dehaze in Lightroom, lots of skin mods as well.

My uncle Peter was taking his glasses off and I told him to stop. Lucky I got it focussed just right. Homage to Hunter S Thompson??? Too gimmicky? My missus thought it was a fun photo.

Finally learning the highspeed mode on the Fuji. Prefocus manually, set a speed, and then shoot. If only I could learn focus brackets……

`A little playing with the wiffle ball to make it pop, some human touchup as well. And massive dehiring on the sky.

RJ smacks one high. I have a boat load more but I think this is the best action shot.

Did a high speed sequence of mom blowing some bubbles. I think the sequence came out pretty well, considering I was not using a tripod. Set the shutter speed at 1/4000s and prefocussed on her face and then shot at 8 fps. The X-T4 does behave when you learn to use it. But its a beast!!!

Same shot as the beginning of the sequence, further back but later in the day when golden hour started….almost no retouching, this came off the camera RAW and went through Lightroom to JPG without almost no mods except color profile…..
