Skiing in Vail, CO with Chris and Rick, snow is a bit low but bowls and trees have some decent cover. We were supposed to have a slow day so I decided to try and lug the Fuji and try it out on some action and mountain shots. Below is the shot I developed (not from RAW, was shooting in sport mode so left camera on auto) in darktable. I lifted the foreground skiier using a mask to prevent overexposing the snow or lifting all the trees which are in the same tones as the skiier’s jacket. I also am showing the original as it came off the camera (JPG version).
